A Memorial Service for Julian LeRoy Larson, 82, of Sisseton, SD will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD with Terril Sorensen officiating. Organist will be Steve Eneboe with special music by Savannah White. Inurnment of his cremains will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Hillhead, SD at a later date. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.
Julian LeRoy Larson was born on October 3, 1931 near Hillhead, SD to John and Ida (Hofland) Larson. He grew up and attended country school and graduated from Veblen High School. After his education Julian returned to the family farm where he farmed his entire life. He was married on December 11, 1971 in Strasberg, ND to Rosalind Mattern. Julian liked to play bingo and visit with family and friends. He had an extensive rock collection. He made belt buckles and pendants out of rocks. In his younger years he liked to fish, hunt, and trap. Julian and Rosalind liked to travel to the twin cities to visit relatives. Julian passed away on October 3, 2013 at a Fargo, ND Hospital.
Julian is survived by one sister, Evelynne and husband John Vrchota of Sisseton, SD and one brother Ivien and wife Barbara Larson of Forman, ND and several nieces and nephews.
Julian was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
