Funeral Service for Joni Claudine Biddell, 50, of Sisseton, SD will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, Enemy Swim, SD on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Rev Fr. Charles Chan and the Episcopal Lay Readers officiating. Pallbearers will be Garrett Keoke, Joel Biddell, Jordan Biddell, Jason Biddell, Randy White, Delbert Hopkins Jr., Johnson Hopkins Sr., Chris Owens, and Jake Bellonger. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jennifer Hopkins, Charlene RedEarth, Marsha LaFontaine, Ramona "Sister" Kirk, with special honorary bearer Yvonne Williams, and her paternal Forest County Potawatomi family. There will be an all night wake service on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 starting at 7:00 PM at the Enemy Swim Community Center. Interment will be at the St. James Episcopal Cemetery, Enemy Swim, SD. The Cahill Funeral Chapel is in charge of arraignments.

Joni Claudine Biddell was born on March 27, 1967 at Sisseton, SD to Jerome C. and Beatrice G. (Johnson) Biddell. She attended grade school in Waubay and graduated from Sisseton High School in 1985. She then attended Job Corp in Nemo, SD and received a clerical certificate. Joni had a passion for cooking, and that's what she did for most of her life. She also cared for many nieces and nephews and her biggest joy was caring for her "grand-daughter" Kaydence Rose. Joni enjoyed card games, board games, Scrabble, Yahtzee, and camping. She loved family cook-outs, and was a big Green Bay Packers fan. She will be remembered for her strong mind, compassion, and her remarkable sense of humor. Joni passed away on March 18, 2018 at her home.

Joni is survived by her mother Beatrice Biddell of Sisseton, SD, four brothers, Joel Biddell of Sioux Falls, SD, Jordan Biddell and Jason Biddell and Garrett Keoke all of Sisseton, SD, Two sisters, Jean Marie Jacobson of Crandon, WI and Tracey Daniels of Keshena, WI, adopted sisters, Yvette Jones, and Sheila Bird, and special paternal uncle Hartford "Hattie" Shegonee, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerome Biddell, paternal grandparents, Mavis Shegonee and Francis Biddell, and paternal uncle Fredrick "Bambie" Biddell, and paternal aunt Agnes "Cookie" Shegonee, maternal grandparents, Solon and Beulah Hopkins, her uncle Delbert Hopkins Sr., aunts, JoAnn "Baby Girl" Frank, and Roberta Hopkins, and a cousin Whitney Hopkins.
