David was born on August 7, 1953 at Sisseton, SD to David Sing Sr. and Margaret Nelson.  He was later adopted by Otis and Durley (Cox) Williford.   He had a warm, loving and friendly personality. He loved to joke, and he loved to laugh. He was social and outgoing and easily made friends wherever he went. He was loving and accepting of everybody no matter their circumstances, and never had a bad word to say. He worked in lawn care and snow removal for approximately 20 years and always took pride in his work. Customers specifically requested him because he did such a good job. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it was painting houses, shingling roofs, or do-it-yourself home projects. He had an artistic flare. His favorite pastimes were art, bead work, pencil drawings, and putting together model race cars and puzzles. He was occasionally hired to do detailing work and special effects on race cars. He had a passion for World of Outlaws racing and NASCAR, and attended many events in person. He enjoyed western movies, classic rock music and sports, and always kept up with his favorite sports teams. He especially loved the Minnesota Vikings. He was a huge animal lover, and adored his pets. He had many cats and dogs that he loved and cherished. He made us laugh with all of his stories from his colorful past. Being Native American, he was always fascinated with the history and culture of First Nation's people, which was often reflected in his artwork. He filled our hearts with laughter and love, and he will be dearly missed. David will always hold a special place in our hearts forever. David passed away on December 3, 2022 at his home in Owatonna, MN.

David leaves behind 3 children; 1 son Stacy Williford and daughter-in-law Cynthia Williford of Moscow Tennessee, 2 daughters, McKenzie Wilson of New Effington, and Danielle Renville of Sisseton. 2 brothers, Gerald Thompson of Old Agency and Merle Sing of Browns Valley, MN. A long time companion, Linda Somers and her son Gregory Somers of Owatonna, MN. 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. He will be missed by his Family immensely!

David was preceded in death by his parents David Sing Sr. and Margaret Nelson and adopted parents Otis and Durley (Cox) Williford; a  daughter Robin Wilson; a son; two granddaughters Jessa Wilson and Jaelyn Wilson; grandson Jace Daniel Wilson; and a sister Christine Wilson.
