Memorial Service for John Paul Seaboy, 40, of Summit, SD will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at SWO Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD with Pastor Billy Keeble officiating. Urn Bearer will be Sebastian Seaboy. Honorary Urn Bearers will be Shelon Seaboy, Yulanda Seaboy, Jeanette Seaboy, Isaiah Ellingson, Daniel Seaboy, David Smith, Julian Seaboy, Alexander Seaboy and Tristen Wiedenbach. There will be a wake service on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. at the SWO Tribal Community Center. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements .

JP was born on September 24, 1981 in Sisseton, SD to Robert Seaboy and Florine Smith. He was baptized and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. JP attended school at Tiospa Zina. JP received his GED. He attended SWO College. He worked at the Dakota Sioux Casino as a cook and maintenance at Dakota Magic Casino.   He later worked for the Webster Scale the last three years. He loved being with family, nieces and nephews. John was a great cook and this was one of his hobbies. He enjoyed fishing, going cruising and playing Ps4. John passed away on October 20, 2021 at his home in Summit, SD.

John is survived by his two sons, Sebastian and Joseph Seaboy of Sisseton, SD; five brothers Simon Seaboy and Robert Seaboy of Sioux Falls, SD, Thomas Seaboy of Webster, SD, Jeremy Seaboy of Watertown, SD and Antoine Seaboy of Breckenridge, MN; six sisters, Michelle Smith of Red Iron Lake, SD, Ronda Smith and Yulanda Seaboy of Watertown, SD. Shelon Seaboy of Sisseton, SD, Celine Seaboy and Jeanette Seaboy of Sioux Falls, SD

John was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents, Sarah Young and Simon Smith and paternal grandparents, Jeanette and William Varnes.
