It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Joan Marie Raymond on May 2, 2022 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND.  Her final days were complicated with health issues which led to her passing.

A Memorial Service was held on Wednesday May 18, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Cahill Funeral Chapel, 516 E. Cherry St, Sisseton, SD 57262, with Victar Pat Schubert officiating. Urn Bearer was Claude Raymond. Honorary Urn Bearers were her granddaughters, Samantha and Hannah Raymond. Followed by a graveside inurnment at Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, SD.

Joan was born in Denver, Colorado on June 8, 1957 to Adelord Lawrence and Joyce Adair Raymond.  She lived in Denver for most of her life but ventured to other places including Hawaii for two years, but found her remaining years to be with Mom in Sisseton, South Dakota.
Joan is survived by her brother James L. Raymond (Debi Duggan) of Buena Vista, Colorado; her son Claude D. Raymond (Terra Oleson) of Watertown, South Dakota; grandchildren Samantha Jo Raymond of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Hannah Rose Raymond of Watertown, South Dakota and 3 step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren Greyson, Maliah, and 7-1/2 step great-grandchildren.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Larry Dean Raymond.

Joan will be truly missed, but our memories of her will sustain us as we move forward from this day.
