Funeral Service for Jimma Chuol Changkuoth Kier, "Tewichaḣ inda" (Cares for all) 20, of Hankinson, ND will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at SWO Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD with CRE Jr. Heminger, Mike and Coke LaFontaine officiating. Pianist will be Billy Kohl. Drum group Walking Eagle. Pallbearer will be Akol Anyuon, Makonhs Stevens, Dominic Keoke, Tarique Owen, Harlan Bellonger, and Maurice Redday Jr. Honorary Pallbearers Vinetta Walker, Rudy Bellonger, Derek DeMarrias, Austin Lawerence, Dustin Lawrence, Richard TallBear, Dejon Evans, Tammy Redzanic, All the Staff of the Circle of Nations School, and all other Family and Friends. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Episcopal Cemetery, Agency Village, SD. There will be wake services on Saturday, December 11 ^th from 7:00 ~ 9:00 P.M. and Sunday December 12, all night wake starting at7:00 P.M. at the SWO Tribal Community Center. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Jimma was born to Starlyte DeMarrias and Changkuoth Chuol Kier on December 13, 2000 at Sioux Falls, SD. In 4 ^th grade he was North Dakota Chess Champion. He liked basketball and earned many belts and trophies in Tae Kwando. He loved riding around listening to music and playing games on his phone with friends and cousins. He loved life and had a contagious smile. His Mom and siblings were his world.

Jimma is survived by his Mother Starlyte DeMarrias; Kunsi Kaye Renville; Sisters Janeya, Julissa, and Jersey; and brothers Jasper and Jerek.

Jimma was preceded in death by his Father Changkuoth Chuol Kier; his brother Javery; maternal grandparents Mandis Renville and Vernice Feather, Uncle Vernon Renville Jr. and Aunt Raina DeMarrias.
