A Celebration of Life will be held for Jilynda on Thuirsday, October 6, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Rosalie Restaurant, Sisseton, SD.

Jilynda Kay Rowland was born on June 13, 1975 in Sisseton, SD to Linda (Van Hill) and Lloyd Rowland. Jilynda attended school in Everett, WA. where she resided for the past 37 years.  Her beautiful smile was so infectious and her laugh would make you laugh.  Jill enjoyed many things such as friends stopping by, having a girl's day out shopping.  She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and even great nieces and nephews. Jill loved to try new things and venture to new places.  She had the hugest heart and opened her arms to everyone that came across her path; she would make you feel like family even if you weren't.  Jill enjoyed spending time with her family, making memories, and most of all enjoyed learning the history of her ancestors from her mother Linda.  She was quite the detective when she wanted to be.  She also enjoyed canning, making pickles, and cooking with her mom.  Jill enjoyed being a fur mama to her two fur babies Sr. Winston and Bruno.  She was always there for everyone and loved to help in any way she could.  Jilynda passed away at the age of 47 on September 27, 2022 at Sanford Medical Center, Sioux Falls, SD with her mother and her significant other Robert by her side.

Jilynda is survived by her significant other Robert Barton; her mother, Linda and her husband, Rodney Johnson;  her father Lloyd Rowland all of Sisseton, SD; her brothers Troy Rowland of Watertown, SD and Chad Rowland of Everett, WA; one sister Serena Johnson of Royse City, TX; nephews Damion  Woodall and Lucas Rowland; nieces Shantelle Rowland, Taylor Rowland, Alicia Rowland, Alexis Rowland, Chiana Rowland, Chloe Woodall as well as many friends including one very special friend a second mother, Chuckie Broers.

Jilynda was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Russell Van Hill and Gladys Olson; and paternal grandparents, John and Marie Rowland.
