A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate Jesse's life will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Buffalo Lake Lutheran Church, Eden, SD with Pastor Paul Kosel officiating.  Pianist will be Sheila Dreskovich and soloist will be Doreen Weidenbach. Urn Bearer will be Jacob Stavick. Inurnment will be in the Buffalo Lake Cemetery, Eden, South Dakota.  The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Jesse Lee Stavick, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, peacefully passed away on February 13, 2023 at the Tekakwitha Nursing Home in Sisseton, SD.

Jesse was born on October 5, 1953 in Sisseton, SD and was the oldest son of Alvin and JoAnne Stavick. He grew up around the Great Plains and graduated high school in Kalispell, MT. He eventually moved back to his hometown of Sisseton. While working to become an electrician, he served in the U.S. Army National Guard. During this time, he met and married the love of his life Kathleen Nebben on November 15, 1980. Over the year, Jesse was dedicated to his work, owning and operating Stavick Electric.

Jesse had an adventurous cowboy spirit and a deep love for travel, finding joy in exploring new places and embarking on thrilling motorcycle rides with loved ones. He cherished the beauty of the natural world, seeking solace in fishing, hunting, and connecting with nature's tranquility. Jesse's infectious laughter was a constant source of joy and could brighten the darkest of days. His genuine and hearty laughter would fill a room, uplifting the spirits of all those around him. He had a unique ability to bring joy to others and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Jesse's legacy of love and devotion will be forever cherished by his beloved wife, Kathleen (Nebben) Stavick, who stood by his side throughout their remarkable journey together. He is also survived by his stepdaughters, Amy and Kristine, whose unwavering love and support meant the world to him. Jesse leaves behind a beautiful family, including his five children: Erin, Emily, Moire', Jacob, and Nuala, his two stepdaughters, Amy and Kristine, and his thirteen adored grandchildren.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents Charlie Moshier and Effie Pavek (Peterson), Melvin and Mary Stavick (VanHeel), his brother Jimmy, and two sisters, Olivia and LaRee, as well as his niece, Justine.

Jesse will be remembered for his unwavering dedication, his kind and gentle heart, his love for adventure, his infectious laughter, and the profound impact he had on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. While he will be deeply missed, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
