Funeral Service for Jason Lee Campbell, 38 of Waubay, SD will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Enemy Swim Community Center, Enemy Swim with Rev. Charles Chan and Vernon Cloud officiating. Pallbearers will be Shawn Campbell, Simon Keeble, Louis Flammond Jr., Chris Burke, Jerome Renville, Jr. and Alan Childs Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kyle Barse, Shawn John, Dale Block, Calvin Campbell, Donita Burns, James Campbell Jr., Bryan Graves, Kevin Block, Kenny Seaboy Sr., Beaman Seaboy and all of Jason's Family and Friends. Interment will be held in the Lakewood Cemetery, Waubay, SD. All night Wake Services will be held at the Enemy Swim Community Center on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 7:00 PM.
Jason was born on February 15, 1975 in Webster, SD to Valdean Campbell. Jason attended school in Waubay and graduated from Tiospa Zina Tribal School in 1994. He worked for Tower Systems for ten years throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. He returned to Watertown, SD and did Carpentry work before moving back to the Waubay area in 2005. He loved Harley Davidson's motorcycle and had three custom choppers. He enjoyed working on them and was planing to open a motorcycle repair shop. Jason had a good sense of humor, was always looking for an adventure. He loved rodeos, camping, fishing, casinos, and taking his boys to the Pow Wows. He was very generous and willing to help anyone. Jason passed away on March 13, 2013 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND from injuries received in an auto mobile accident.
Jason is survived by his three children, Timothy Walker, Michael Campbell and Gabriel Campbell all of Waubay, SD.; his mother Valdean Campbell of Waubay, SD; two sisters, Lisa Campbell-John and husband, Shawn John of Yakima, WA, Ashley Ironstar of Pierre, SD; lst cousins, Bryan Graves of Sioux Falls, SD, Nadine and husband, Vince Cook of Indian River, MI, Shawn and Tonia Campbell of Waubay, SD, Calvin Campbell, Leah McDaniel and Audrey Campbell; uncle and aunt, James and Donna Campbell of Waubay, SD; nephews, Chaska John of Yakima, WA, Nicholas cook of Ft. Bragg, NC and Christipher Campbell; nieces, Suzy Cook of Indian River, MI, Samantha Pomani, Savannah Pomani, Roshawn Campbell, Shawnee Rae Campbell, Shay Lena Campbell, and Sheyenne Campbell of Waubay, SD; and a special aunt, Pam McDaniel of Webster, SD.
Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James Campbell Sr. and Susan Campbell, mother-in-law, Geraldine Walker; uncles Norman and Curtis Campbell Sr.
