Obituary

Funeral Service for Jacquelyn Joy Anderson, "Cetan Duta Win" Red Hawk Woman, 61, of Mantador, ND will be Monday, November 12, 2018 at1:00 P.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Community Center, Agency Village, SD with Rev. James Bird and Pastor Scott Davis officiating with Kim Lawrence as pianists and special music by Kenny Cameron and Derrick Lawrence. Pallbearers will be Russell Anderson, Joshua Lawrence, Vernon White Jr., James Bird, James Lynn Bird, and William Charles Lawrence. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Jackie's Friends. Interment will be in the Lawrence Sacred Hill Cemetery, Peever, SD. Wake services will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 starting at 7:00 P.M. at SWO Community Center. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Jacquelyn was born on July 29, 1957 in Oakland, CA to Gary Lawrence and Sylvia Bird. She was baptized at the St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Agency Village, SD. She attended school and graduated from Sisseton High School after high school she attended College in Morris, MN for one year. She then returned back to Sisseton. She later attended school at the Sisseton Wahpeton Community College and got a degree in childhood development. She was a member of the Dakota Alliance Church. Jackie married Allen Brown and to this union one son was born, Gary Brown. She later married Peter LaFromboise and to this union two children were born, Adam and Tory LaFromboise. She finally found her soul mate, Dean Anderson and they were married and moved to Mantador, ND.

Jackie worked at Agency Bingo Hall, Tribal Head start, IHS in the Pharmacy and at the Sioux and Dakota Magic Casino's. She enjoyed beading, going to Pow-wow's, gardening, growing house plants, reading and jig saw puzzles. She was a good cook, liked baking, making fry bread, loved canning and making apple butter.

Jackie is survived by her parents, Sylvia and Pastor Mike Owen; husband, Dean Anderson, two children, Gary Brown and Tory LaFromboise; five grandchildren; sisters, June Richards, Dina Owen, and Mickey Divine; brothers, Larry Thiele, Kenneth Lawrence Sr., Joshua Lawrence, and Vernon White Jr.; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Lawrence; son Adam LaFromboise; sisters, Laura and Melodie Lawrence; grandparents, Sam and Laura Bird and Melvin and Marie Lawrence.
