Funeral Service for Gregory Keith Maestas, 64, of Agency Village, SD will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD with Arnold Williams, Spiritual Leader officiating.  Pall Bears will be Isaac Lucero, Buffalo DuMarce, Jordan Kurrasch, Larry Keoke Jr., Byron White, Terrin Williams and Arnold White Jr.  Honorary Pall Bearers will be All Gregory's Friends and Family.  The       Drum Group will be Arnold Williams.  There will be an All Night Wake on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 starting at 7:00 P.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD.  Interment will be in the Sisseton Wahpeton Sioux Veterans Cemetery, Sisseton, South Dakota.  The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.

Gregory was born on July 14, 1958 in St. Paul, MN to Simon Maestas Sr. and Rena (White) Maestas. Greg attended school in St. Paul, MN and later received his GED. He loved spending time with his son and grandchildren. Gregory was in the U.S Marine Corps from June 1976 to June 1979. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Rifle Expert Badge, and Pistol Expert Badge. He was also a Tribal Police Officer and an EMT.  Gregory passed away on November 13, 2022 at the Sanford hospital in Fargo, ND with family by his side.

Gregory is survived by his son Wayland (Kimberly) Maestas of Agency Village, SD; one sister Joanne Bird of White, SD; two brothers Gerald Maestas of Minneapolis, MN. and Simon Maestas Jr. of Sisseton, SD; and five grandchildren.

Gregory was preceded in death by his parents Simon and Rena (White) Maestas; brothers Rossando, Gary and Timothy Maestas.
