Memorial Service for Gregory T. Harles, 69 of Agency Village, SD will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at the Family Life Assembly of God Church. Sisseton, SD with Pastor Vern Donnell officiating. The pianist will be Sarah Aadland.  Urn Bearer will be Cash Harles. Honorary Urn Bearers will be Bill Bjerke, Mick Bjerke, Dave Wallenstein, Doug Renville, Terry McKay, Kathy Ellingson and all of Greg's Grandsons, Granddaughters, Friends and Customers. Military Rites by The Otto-Quande-Renville American Legion Post #50 and Fort Sisseton VFW Post #3342. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. The Cahill Funeral Chapel will be handling funeral arrangements.

Gregory Ted Harles was born on September 10, 1954, in Lidgerwood, ND to Edward and Elaine (Rehak) Harles. He attended grade school at Richland #44 in Abercrombie, ND and graduated from Richland #44 in Colfax, ND. He talked of great memories working on his grandfather's farm throughout his school years. He entered the United States Army in September of 1972 and served until September 1974. He received the National Defense Service Medal and Sharpshooter M16. He was stationed as Border Patrol in Germany. Following his Military Service, he went on to Moler Barber College where he received his barber license. He worked as a barber for Grand Barber in Fargo, ND.

Greg and Pat moved from Fargo to Sisseton, South Dakota in 1985 where Greg was united in marriage to Patricia, the girl of his dreams. He was an avid motorcycle rider; you would often see him and Pat riding throughout the years, a lot of times with their children and even the family dog. Greg was a very hands-on kind of dad; he helped coach his kids traveling basketball team "The Sisseton Swoops." During these years he was the happiest, watching his children and the team play ball. He also coached the Sisseton boys traveling team "The Storm," which he was also very proud of. Greg loved watching the Minnesota Vikings, Timberwolves, and The Twins. Through the years he worked for the American Legion, Dakota Pillow Factory, and Schlitz Foods. In the mid 90's he opened his own barber shop on Main Street in Sisseton called Sharp Cuts, which he worked until his retirement in January of 2024. Greg was a familiar face on Main Street, often standing in front of his shop. Many will miss seeing him there. He enjoyed his job and cared deeply for his customers. Greg passed away at his home in Agency Village on April 9, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was a caring Husband, Father and Grandfather who always kept up with what everyone was doing whether we liked it or not. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

Greg is survived by his wife, Patricia (Runyon) Harles of Agency Village, SD; three children, Trina (Darin) Fonder of Sisseton, SD, Amber Harles of Abercrombie, ND and Cash Harles of Agency Village, SD; seven grandchildren, Austin, Garrett and Cierra Fonder of Sisseton, SD, JaRae Harles, Bently and Anavayah Keeble and Aspen Amiotte of Abercrombie, ND.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Elaine Harles, one brother, Michael (Buddy) Harles and one sister, Laina Harles.
