In loving memory of Glen Royal Wanna Sr. "Magaiyahe" Geese Landing, 52, of Sisseton, SD funeral services will be Friday, January 18, 2019 at 10:00AM at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD. All Night Wake Service will be Wednesday, January 16 & Thursday, January 17 at 7:30PM at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribal Community Center. Pastor Milton Owen and Lay Reader Clyde Kampeska officiating. Drum Group is OA. Pallbearers will be Vernon Renville Sr. (Pasa), Fabian Kohl Sr. (Mike), Vincent Azure, Buddy J. Bird, Eric Wanna Sr., Michael Wanna, Emerson Bird, Desrick Bird. Honorary Pallbearers are Cylas R. Wanna, Darrell C. Demarrias, Jaxen D. Wanna, Yolanda R. Williams, Kimamina N. Williams, Chasity C. Moore, Aubrielle O. Moore, Josephine Wanna, and a special little friend that called him grandpa, J.J. Bird, Ray Ray, Jeff Wanna, Stacey Wanna, Brian Moore, Orlando Williams, Allen White, Todd Brown, Rider Dirtseller Jr., Todd Marks, Eddie Bird, Lincoln Bird, Les King, Vine Marks Jr. (Hokie), Benji Thompson, Milton Renville, Winfield Rondell Jr., Frances Heminger Jr., SWHA Employees and friends. Interment is at St. Luke's Episcopal Cemetery in Veblen, SD.
Glen was born November 1, 1966 to Burton Ducheneaux and Jacqueline Wanna in Sisseton, SD. He attended school in Sisseton and the Flandreau Indian School in Flandreau, SD. In 1984, Glen married Irma Keeler and later divorced. He worked at Dakota Magic and the Sisseton-Wahpeton Housing Authority. He loved to hunt with his buddies and going to the casinos. He even had a casino pants. Glen left his mark with his family and friends, by how he touched each and every one of our lives and the memories he gave us. That is what he would have wished us to remember him by. He lived with the love of his life Frances (Fran) Bird.
Glen is survived by his mother Jacqueline Wanna; children Tosheena Wanna, Gwen Moore, Glen R. Wanna Jr., Emerson Bird; many cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Glen was preceded in death by his step-father William MacConnell, grandparents Spencer and Vivian (King) Wanna Sr., grandchild Kaysee Moore, three uncles, one special one Lincoln D. Wanna, and one aunt.
