Memorial Service for Glen A. Anderson, 70, of Sisseton, SD will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at the Enemy Swim Community Center, Enemy Swim, SD with Pastor Vern Donnell and  Pastor Don Lykins officiating. Drum Group will be Roberts Biys.   Urn Bearer will be David Anderson. Honorary Urn Bearers will be Raymond  Rouillard, Paul "Chippy" Smith, Delbert Roly Hopkins Jr., Garrett J. Renville, Gene Anderson, Bruce Anderson, Dana Anderson, Colin Anderson, Eberhardt Family and Robertson Family. Inurnment will be in the St. Jame's Episcopal Cemetery, Enemy Swim with Military Rites by Woodrow Wilson Keeble American Legion Post #314. There will be an all-night Wake Service on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. at the Enemy Swim Community Center. The Cahill Funeral Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Glen was born on July 16, 1955, in Webster, SD, to Gene Anderson and Lucille (Robertson) Anderson. He grew up in a hardworking family, often recalling his early days working in roofing with family members "for a dollar a day." He earned his GED in 1981, later attending Minneapolis Technical College for Construction Electricity, and Sisseton Wahpeton Community College, where he received an Associate's Degree in Hospitality and Casino Management. On September 19, 1972, Glen enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served as a Marcorsepman stationed at Camp Pendleton, California, and was honorably discharged on November 30, 1973.

Glen married the love of his life, Liz Jackson, on June 13, 1992. His career included service as a tribal police officer for the SWST Police Department, construction work in Minneapolis, and security positions at Mystic Lake Casino, Dakota Sioux Casino, and Dakota Magic Casino. From 1997 to 2005, he advanced from Security Officer to Security Manager, and eventually to General Manager at Dakota Magic. He later worked for Dakota Nation Development Corporation (2008–2013) and returned to Dakota Sioux as Security Manager (2015–2018) before retiring.

In retirement, Glen cherished time with his family and "fur family," enjoyed studying the Bible, reading, golfing, and cheering for his beloved Minnesota Vikings and Twins. Glen passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, at the Leach Home in Wahpeton, ND, surrounded by his family and with the support of hospice care.

Glen is survived by his wife, Liz Anderson; children, Myrna Anderson and David Anderson; stepchildren, Walter Chanku, Darcelle (Wamni) Robideau, Jesse Estes, and Michael Estes; grandchildren, his pride and joy Andrew, Andrea, Nathan, Lucy, Anna, Bitzy, Walter, Dewey, and Sweetgrass; brothers, Gene (Cathy) Anderson, Bruce Anderson, Colin Anderson, Dana Anderson; and sister, Eileen  (Steve)  Pfeiffer, many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Mary (1989); parents, Gene, and Lucille Anderson; maternal grandparents, Andrew Robertson and Alvira Owen; paternal grandparents, Edwin Anderson and Martha Dahl; and brother, Thomas Anderson.

Glen will be remembered for his humor, dedication, strong work ethic, and the deep love he had for his family.
