Memorial Service for Germaine Cynthia Rockwood, 88, of Watertown, SD will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the St. James Episcopal Church, Waubay, SD with Fr. Conrad Ciesel, Deacon Bitsey Ciesel, and the Episcopal Lay Readers. Bearers will be Caleb Strutz, Ian Rockwood, and Charlie Eberhardt. Honorary Urn Bearers will be All of Germaine's Family and Friends. Inurnment will be in the St. James Episcopal Cemetery, Waubay, SD.  There will be an all-night Wake Service on Monday, August 25, 2025, starting at 7:00 P.M. at the St. James Guild Hall, Enemy Swim, SD. The Cahill Funeral Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Germaine was born on April 2, 1937, in Waubay, SD to Elmer and Eunice (Keeble) Rockwood. She attended school, graduated, and went into the Air Force.  Germaine was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. She worked as a seamstress and enjoyed doing puzzles, sewing, housekeeping, and watching her favorite TV shows.

Germaine is survived by sister Melda Hawkins; many grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; many cousins; and many In-laws.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Patrick Rockwood Sr., Steven Blue Dog, and Elmer Rockwood Jr.; sisters, Charlotte M. Strutz, Donna Rockwood, and Jerena Roberts; nephew Rodger Strutz.
