Florence "Rogene" Dogskin (Seaboy), 63, CannonBall, ND entered into the Spirit World on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, ND. Funeral services will be be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Sisseton Wahpeton College, in Sisseton, SD with Danny Seaboy and Londell Seaboy officiating a traditional funeral service. Burial will be at the Max Family Cemetery in Old Agency, SD. An all night wake service will begin Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 6:00 pm and traditional funeral services will begin Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11:00 am.

Rogene was born in Sisseton, SD, December 29, 1953, to David Lee Seaboy and Rose Lorraine Max. She attended Sisseton Public High School but completed her General Education Diploma and Food Service Diploma from United Tribes Technical College, in Bismarck, in 1976. Rogene went on to receive her Early Childhood Development Teaching Certification and her Child Development Associate in 2000. She then completed her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Sitting Bull College, in Fort Yates, ND in 2005.

Throughout her precious lifetime Rogene loved working with children. She worked with the Standing Rock Headstart Program in CannonBall for about 10 years (1979-1989) as a Parent Coordinator, Teacher, and Bus Driver/Fire Marshall/Custodian. Rogene was the first woman on Standing Rock to obtain her Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brakes. She also worked at Prairie Knights Casino as a Count Supervisor for 5 years (1993-1998). Because of her love for children she went to work for Standing Rock Early Childhood Tracking and Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition to finish her career as she became disabled with a debilitating disease that affected her muscles and skin.

As a young teen Rogene discovered a love for softball with her sisters and brother and played until she couldn't play anymore, due to a knee injury when she was 40. She received many awards during her years of playing softball, including being inducted into the Sisseton Legends of the Game. Rogene was an outstanding fast-pitch shortstop, pitcher, catcher and all-around during her years of playing. She also won many horseshoe tournaments and loved throwing shoes with her family. Rogene also loved bowling and traveled to tournaments and regularly played in leagues. In her later years one of her most favorite things to do was to watch her children play softball and even won their team award for "Best Bleacher Butt". She loved spending time with her family and playing games.

Rogene is survived by her husband of 45 years, Clayton Ayutapi, Sr.; 4 daughters, Dusty Rose (Travis) Ayutapi, Kelly (Emmit "Otter") Ayutapi, Randi (Arlo) Dogskin, and Sheridan (Joe) McNeil; One son, Clayton (Kilreen) Ayutapi, Jr.; Her mom, Rose Max; her dad, David Seaboy; 4 sisters, Patsy Taylor, Debby (Tom) Richotte, Davana (Laverne) Black Thunder, Melanie Seaboy; 2 brothers, Rommel (Chrissy) Seaboy and Cameron Seaboy; 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews she loved so much.
