Funeral Service for Faith Valerie Lufkins 64, of Hankinson, ND will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD with John Cloud III CLP, Jr. Heminger and Pastor Milton Owen officiating.   Pallbearers will be Jeremy Brown, Craig Blackthunder, LaVern Blackthunder, Algin Blackthunder, Perry Lufkins, Lyndon Haug, Jason Brown, Trevor Brown, Weston Hill, Travis Firecloud, Terry Haug Sr., Londell Seaboy, Travis Max, Craig Spider, and Cory Bertsch. Honorary Pallbearers will be All of Faith's Family, Friends, Nieces and Nephews. Interment will be in the St. Peters Catholic Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. Wake Services will be held at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Community Center, Agency Village, SD at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, November 20, 2017 with an all night wake on November 21, 2017. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Faith Valerie Lufkins was born on November 16, 1953 in Sisseton, SD to George and Ida (GoodBird) Lufkins. She grew up and attended school in Sioux Falls, SD.   Following her education she returned to Sisseton and raised her son with her significant other, Andrew Hayes. She liked going to Casino's, playing bingo, and playing cards. She loved to cook for the moccasin players and she loved to be with her family and friends. Faith passed away on November 18, 2017 at St Francis Hospital, Breckenridge, MN.

Faith is survived by one son, Drago Lufkins, of Sisseton, SD; her life long companion, Andrew Hayes of Hankinson, ND; three sisters, Marcella Haug of Long Hollow, SD, Margaret Lufkins of Minneapolis, MN and Georgia Lufkins of Denver, CO; three brothers, Narcisse Lufkins of Long Hollow, SD, Stanley Lufkins, and Dennis Lufkins of Sisseton, SD; and many nieces and nephews.

Faith was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Vernell and Rodney Lufkins; six sisters, Mary, Leona, Kathleen, Alvera, Lorna and Georgianne.
