Memorial Service for Eunice Mae Cordie, 71, of Sisseton, SD will be held on December 12, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Peters Catholic Church, Sisseton, SD with the Rev. Fr. Norman Volk celebrant. Colette Hull will be the organist and Sandi Jaspers will be the song leader. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Eunice's nieces and nephews. Interment will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. Eunice was born on June 13, 1938 in Sisseton, SD to Joe and Lillian (George) Cordie. She grew up and attended country school in Drywood Lake Township and she attended High School in Sisseton. Following her education she moved to St. Paul, MN where she worked for Social Services. She returned to Sisseton where she worked for Northwest Bell Telephone, Sisseton Hospital, and then she worked for Sisseton High School as a secretary for seventeen years. She liked to travel and attend picnics at the lake. Eunice was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Eunice passed away on December 8, 2009 at the Browns Valley Health Care Center, Browns Valley, MN.
Eunice was survived by two brothers, Jerry and wife, Donna Cordie of Sisseton, SD, Kenneth and wife, Reva Cordie of Sisseton, SD; and one sister, Marie and husband, LaVerne Sattler of Sisseton, SD; one sister-in-law Ardie Cordie of Valley City, ND.
Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Pat.
