Memorial Service for Eugene "Geno" Michael Wanna, 72, of Agency Village, South Dakota will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Kateri Hall, Sisseton, SD with Rev. Fr. Jerry Ranek and Pastor Vern Donnell officiating. Urn Bearers will be Mercedes Wanna and Savion Wanna. Honorary Urn Bearers will be All of Geno's Nieces and Nephews.   Interment will be at a later date. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. at St. Kateri Hall. The Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton, South Dakota is in charge of arrangements. .

Eugene was born on October 20, 1947 at Minneapolis, MN to Oliver and Angeline (Supangi) Wanna Sr. He attended Marshall High School and West High School in Minneapolis, MN. He worked for the City of Minneapolis, Department of Public Works for 30 years. He returned to South Dakota and was employed by the Sisseton Wahpeton Housing Authority for 2 seasons. He loved to travel, attend pow-wows, loved to tease and joke around, and loved discussing politics, and listening to music.

Eugene is survived by two brothers, Duane "Doc" Wanna of Sisseton, SD and Oliver Wanna Jr. of Wilmot, SD; two sisters Debra Wanna of Sisseton, SD and Anita Wanna of Sisseton, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Gerald, three sisters Sheila, Kathy, and Carmen, and several nieces and nephews.
