Funeral Service for Eric John German, 43 of Sisseton, SD will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Family Life Assembly of God Church, Sisseton, SD with the Rev. Vern Donnell and Pastor Paul Osborne officiating. Pianist will be June Evenson and soloist will be Shannon Smikowski. Pallbearers will be Terry Weinkauf, Steve Eneboe, Terry Aadland, Matt Hrncir, Brent Eneboe, Larry Van Der Vliet. Interment will be in the Peever Cemetery, Peever, SD. There will be visitation on Friday, June 12, 2015 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD and from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:30 at the Family Life Assembly of God Church, Sisseton, SD. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.
Eric John German was born September 11, 1971 in Sisseton, SD to Alvin and Elaine (Aadland) German. He was baptized in Peever Lutheran Church. He attended Sisseton Assembly of God Church as a child and young adult and later made the Christian Missionary Alliance in Sisseton his church home. He attended Crippled Children's School for two years. He returned home and attended grade school and graduated from Sisseton High School. He was employed by Teals Market for over twenty years. Eric's main desire was to find a wife. His dream was fulfilled on April 4, 2009, when he married Dani Jo Greseth. They were later blessed with the addition of Sophie Lela German. Eric was an avid Vikings fan and loved listening to Christian rock music, especially Stryper. Eric passed away on June 10, 2015 at Tekakwitha Living Center, Sisseton, SD with his family by his side.
Eric is survived by his wife Dani Jo and daughter Sophie of Sisseton, SD; his parents Alvin and Elaine German of Peever, SD; three sisters, Sandra (Bruce) Carstensen of Sioux Falls, SD, Deloria (Rodney) Reyelts of Milbank, SD, and Lela (Steve) Kurkowski of Watertown, SD; his father and mother in-law Butch and Marianne Greseth of Sisseton, SD; sisters in law Angie (Kent) Paulson of Sioux Falls, SD, Suzy (Jason) Schramm of Sioux Falls, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eric was preceded in death by his siblings Alvin Jr., Heidi Ann, niece Melanie Reyelts, paternal grandmother and maternal grandparents.
