Funeral Service for Eric Austin DuMarce, 27 of Sisseton, SD will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Agency Village, SD final viewing will begin at 10:00 am at the Old Agency District Center then move to church with Pastor Milton Owen, John Cloud III senior cathacist and Coke Lafontaine will be officiating. Pianist will be Kay Bursheim and Billy Kohl. Pallbearers will be Isaiah Hayes, Daniel Martin, Michael Borns, Samuel Berger, Josh Berger and Carl Derry. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Eric's family and friends. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Episcopal Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. All night wake services will be on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Old Agency District Center. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Eric was born on March 22, 1990 in Sisseton, SD to Myron DuMarce and Lorleen Hayes-Martin. He grew up in the Sisseton area and attended Tiospa Zina Tribal School.  Eric and his dad loved to travel and lived in various places with his dad, Arizona, Alaska and Montana. He worked for Mercedes Benz in Billings, MT and worked various jobs in the area including Dakota Sioux Casino as a black jack dealer. They moved back to the Sisseton area when Eric was 14 years old. He enjoyed Fishing with his dad, going to Bingo, casino hopping and especially spending time with his son Jaymis. He liked the Minnesota Vikings and loved his son Jaymis very much. Eric would always go out of his way to help people and the elderly. He will be remembered by his smile. Eric passed away on November 24, 2017 at his home in Sisseton, SD.

Eric is survived by his son, Jaymis DuMarce of Sisseton, SD; his father, Myron DuMarce of Sisseton, SD; his mother Lorleen Martin of Watertown, SD; siblings, April Hayes, Isaiah Hayes of Great Falls, MT, Daniel Martin of Great Falls, MT, Chelsey Martin of New York; grandmothers, Sharon Renville, Avina Hayes, Marvel Bursheim and Faith Finley; aunts Shelly DuMarce of Sisseton, SD and LeAnn (Keith) Wolff of Glasgow, MT; numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and a special cousin Corrine Bravebull.

Eric was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Leonard Hayes Jr.; paternal grandmother Feanette DuMarce; aunt Suetie Birdsbill, uncles Lonnie, Leslie and Darrell DuMarce and uncle John Pipe; cousin Anthony Birdsbill.
