Funeral Service for Elizabeth M. Palm, 95 of Sisseton, SD will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grace Lutheran Church with the Rev. William Schruba officiating. Organist will be Mona Greseth and soloist will be Julie Medenwald. Pallbearers will be Michelle Zinnel, David Helgeson, Michael Palm, April Ganser, Jason Palm and Erin Palm. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Elizabeth's Family and Friends. Burial will be in the Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. There will be visitation on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Cahill Funeral Chapel from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service.
Elizabeth Margret (Schulz) Palm, daughter of Herman & Mary (Stock) Schulz was born at home, August 8th, 1919 in Red Iron Township, Marshall County. She grew up in Marshall County and attended elementary school in rural Marshall County. She married Elmer Palm on May 1st, 1938 in Milbank, SD. They lived in Sisseton several years and then moved to rural Marshall County to farm. They lived on several farms in Marshall County and then moved to Sisseton in 1976. They lived in the Hi-Rise for 30 some years. Elmer passed away in October 23, 2001. Elizabeth continued to live at the Hi-Rise until 2009 when she moved in the Green Leaf Assisted Living. Elizabeth entered the Tekakwitha Living Center in September 2014. Elizabeth was a long time member of Buffalo Lake Lutheran Church and became a member of Grace Lutheran Church when they moved to Sisseton. Elizabeth passed away on September 24, 2014 at the Tekakwitha Living Center, Sisseton, SD.
She is survived by; two sons, Darel (Jean) of Brookings, SD and Grant (Bev) of Bozeman, MT; one daughter June Helgeson of Peever, SD; six grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Adolphsen of Aberdeen, SD and Mrs. Delores Medenwald of Sisseton, SD and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers George and Leonard Schulz, and two great grandsons, Blaze Ganser and Skylar Palm.
