Elias William Johnson Quinn (Tatanka Hoksina) age 30, of Sisseton, SD passed on April 24th, 2026, at his home in Sisseton. He was born on October 9th, 1995, in Sisseton SD, he is the son of Lynnelle Quinn and Michael Dorsch Sr. He grew up in Red Iron at Kunsi Olivia's house, he spent a lot of his time fishing, swimming and being outdoors, he always had JJ with him when he would fish, and anything being around family was his favorite. He was always willing to help in any way he could and always so protective over his family. He attended Enemy Swim Day School Kindergarten through 8th Grade; he then went to Chemawa Indian School for high school.
He grew up on the powwow trail with family as well, going on road trips with his mom and siblings. Elias loved singing as much as he could, sharing his voice with everyone. He loved to sing and had the most powerful and unique voice we knew, I could always hear his voice apart from everyone else's. He attended powwows and sang with many different groups, which is how he met a lot of his powwow family, which we know he was very grateful for. He participated in Sundance, dancing, singing, and being the fire keeper. His favorite sports team was the Kansas Chiefs. He lived on this reservation for his whole life.
Elias is survived by his siblings; Jessica Tiger, Susan Lufkins, Leonard DuMarce III (George), Tessa Laine Quinn of Sisseton, SD, Stevie (Dorsch) and Bo Hall of Horton, KS, Cienna and Jerold Dorsch of Horton, KS, Michael Dorsch Jr. of Horton, KS, Stephen "Lumper" Cadue of Horton, KS, Julius "Juice" Dorsch of Billings, MT; Aunts; Michelle Dorsch and Phyllis Dorsch and many more; Grandchildren; Paisley, Drew, Nation, Shayla, Anna, Ezra; Nieces and Nephews; Rion, Stacia, Leora, VyDalia, JJ, MarleyMae, Kenneth, Malakai, Bonna, Nate, Sami, Rhea, Belle and many more.
