Funeral Service for Duston "Dusty" Magnuson, 40, of Sisseton, SD will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church, Sisseton, SD.  Pastor Patrick Jenkins will be officiating.  Soloist will be Pat Schubert and organist Michelle Greseth.  Pallbearers will be Daniel Nickolauson, Josh Kohl, Kelly Faeth, Chad Lekness, Brad Lekness, and Harry Moshier Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Dusty's family, friends, and the employees from Twin Valley Tire. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with family being present from 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. and a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. at the Cahill Funeral Chapel.  Interment will be in the St. Peters Catholic Cemetery, Sisseton, SD.  The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Duston was born on July 23, 1978 in Graceville, MN to Kathy Magnuson.  He grew up in the Sisseton area and attended school through the 8 ^th grade.  Duston then lived with his grandmother, Agnes Magnuson just north of Sisseton and worked with his Uncle Larry Magnuson where he learned all his mechanical skills.  He then was employed at Roberts County Landfill until he was employed at Twin Valley Tire until his health issues caused him to quit.

Duston married Kristi Deutsch in August, 1999.  To this marriage two children were raised, Shaundra and Justin.

Duston was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church in Sisseton.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping, snowmobiling, and working on any kind of mechanics at work or at home.   If Dusty wasn't home, you could always find him at "THE SHOP" with his friends.  He loved spending time with friends and family.  He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it.

He fought a hard battle for one year with cancer.  Chemo and medications causing many problems and side effects causing him to succumb to cardiac arrest on October 12, 2018 at the Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND with his wife at his side.

Dusty is survived by his wife, Kristi Magnuson of Sisseton, SD; daughter, Shaundra (Keifer Lesnar) of Sisseton, SD; sister, Lacie Bauer; Alan Lekness of Sisseton, SD; lifelong four legged friend Buddy; many brothers and sister-in-laws; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Magnuson; son, Justin Magnuson; grandmother, Agnes Magnuson; mother in-law and father in-law Shorty and Sally (Norman and Priscilla) Deutsch.
