Funeral services for Dorothy Marie Mussetter, 84, of Sisseton, SD, will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013, at 10:30 A.M. at the Cahill Funeral Chapel in Sisseton, SD. Pallbearers will be Jackson Neal, Gage Conners, Joshua Cunningham, Wally Seaboy, Roy Kay, and Gary Mussetter. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Dorothy's Family and Friends. Interment will be at the Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. There will be visitation on Thursday, July 11, 2013, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM with family present from 5:00 to 7:00. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD, is in charge of arrangements.
Dorothy was born on September 24, 1928 in San Antonio, TX to Sam and Emily (Budge) Tubbs. She grew up and attended school in San Antonio. After her education she attended beauty school in California. Dorothy was married to Herbert Mussetter on November 14, 1958 in Riverside, CA. The couple lived in various places, settling in Sisseton, SD in the mid 70's. Dorothy was a stay at home mother. She also worked as a beautician, in several salons. Dorothy worked at the Tekakwitha Nursing Center as a beautician for several years. Dorothy loved crafts, quilting, crocheting, spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to bake and decorate wedding and birthday cakes. She passed away on July 7, 2013 at her home in Sisseton, SD with her family at her side.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert of Sisseton, SD; Three children, Kathy Smith of Piney Flats, TN, Leah Cunningham of Sisseton, SD, and Evan and Courtney Mussetter of Sisseton, SD; Two sisters, Helen Woods of San Antonio, TX and JoAnn Kay of Ogden, UT; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren..
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Ronald, one grandson Justin, two brothers Alec, and Charlie, and one sister, Sammy.
