Memorial Service for Dorothy Mary Arlene Ziebarth, 81 of Sisseton, SD will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grace Lutheran Church, Sisseton, SD with the Rev. Suzanne Bendit officiating. Organist will be Mona Greseth. Honorary Pallbearers will be All of Dorothy's Family and Friends, Lyle, Marvin and Rick Bubak, Kaine and Jacob Ziebarth, Jason Ziebarth, Dwayne and David Tichinel. Inurnment will be in the Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. There will be visitation at the church on Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.
Dorothy was born on August 7, 1934 in Sisseton, SD to William and Ollie Mae (Moore) Wyman. She grew and attended county school. Following her education she worked for local area farmers, cooking and cleaning. Dorothy was married to Lawrence Ziebarth Sr. on September 30, 1953 at Webster, SD. She later worked for Flossie Hackberth at Melvin's Cafe, Mobil Cafe, Coffee Cup, Landsberger Creamery and Billy's Cafe as a waitress. She liked to play pinochle, bingo, and slot machines. She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren. She liked to watch Hee Haw, Walker Texas Ranger, and listening to the Twin's and Cub's baseball games. Dorothy was a longtime member of the Otto-Quande-Renville American Legion Auxiliary #50 and Fort Sisseton VFW Auxiliary #3342. Dorothy passed away on September 8, 2015 at the Tekakwitha Living Center.
Dorothy is survived by six children, Lawrence Ziebarth Jr. of Sisseton, SD, Wayne and Patricia Ziebarth of New Effington, SD, Greg and Debbie Ziebarth of Aberdeen, SD, Tamara and David Tichinel of Page, AZ, and Jeff and Joan Ziebarth of Vancouver, WA and Roger Ziebarth of Watertown, SD; sixteen grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Wyman of Sisseton, SD and Marvin and Doris Wyman of Portland, OR; and one daughter-in-law, Juanita Ziebarth of San Antonio, TX.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Alvin; and two brothers, Robert and Kenneth Wyman.
