Funeral Service for Doris Mae Guy, 91, of Sisseton, South Dakota will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church, Sisseton, SD with Rev. John Barkett officiating.  Pallbearers will be Lee Guy, Scott Guy, Kenny Guy, Keith Guy, Kevin Guy, and Jasper Guy.   Honorary Pallbearers will be All of Doris' Co-workers and Friends.   Interment will be in the Veblen Cemetery, Veblen, SD.   Visitation will be Friday, March 17, 2017 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Cahill Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of Funeral arrangements.

Doris Mae Schrader was born on January 8, 1926 at Graceville, MN. to Fred Henry and Bessie (Burch) Schrader.   She attended school through her Junior year. Doris has good memories of growing up on her mother's homestead 4 1/2 miles from Claire City. She helped plant the garden, milk cows and one of her other chores was to slop the pigs. She walked to school every day in the extreme blowing wind and dirt storms during the Dirty 30's. The family attended church on a regular basis. Doris was united in marriage to Clair Victor Guy on October 23, 1944 at Webster, SD.     Doris worked as a cook at the Coteau des Prairies Hospital for 10 ½ years, the A&W for 10 years, Tekakwitha Nursing Center for 3 ½ and the Sisseton Public School 43 years. She retired at the age of 85. Clair passed away on November 25, 1998. Doris was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Sisseton, SD. Doris passed away at her home on March 8, 2017.

She is survived by three sons, David Guy and wife Sandra of Rapid City, SD; Dennis Guy and wife Sarah of Iowa and Blair Guy and wife Linda of Jacksonville, Fl.; 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clair, sister Ardell and brothers Alonzo Schrader and Herbert Schrader.
