Funeral Mass for Donald Dean Hart, 51 of Shakopee, MN will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Sisseton, SD with the Rev. Fr. Andy Knop Celebrant. Organist will be Kaye Burshiem and special music by Butch Felix, Pallbearers will be Mitchell Hart, Blake Hart, J.J. Burshiem, Kendall Kipp, Robert Romero, Don Blevins, Art Carmona, and Loren Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Dotseth, Ted RedShirt, Nathan Smith, Benji Thompson, Winfield Thompson Jr., Tim Two Horses, Tom Halsey, Willie Red Tomahawk, Shelby Keeble, Todd Yankton, Moses Bull Bear, Jake Thompson, Sam Moore, Dave DeMarce, Duane Wanna, Kevin Brown, and Sheldon Kipp, all of Dean's Family and Friends. Interment will be in St. Matthew's Catholic Cemetery, Veblen, SD. There will be a Prayer Service on Monday July 27, 2009 at 7:00 PM at St. Catherine's Hall and an all night wake on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 7:00 PM at St. Catherine's Hall, Sisseton, SD. Donald was born on December 20, 1957 in Hutchinson, KS to Donald C. and Patsy (Hunt) Hart. He grew up and attended school at Eagle Butte, FT. Belknap, MT, and Bismarck, ND, graduating from Century High School in Bismarck, ND, in 1976. Dean then attended the University of New Mexico on a basketball scholarship. Dean worked for United Tribes in Bismarck, ND after college. Dean was united in marriage to Mary Beth Silk in 1978 and couple had three sons. Dean worked at different jobs in MN, ND, and SD the next few years. Dean passed away on July 25, 2009 at Shakopee, MN after a short illness. Donald loved basketball, playing pool, fishing, and was a trivia buff. He also liked listening to music.
Donald is survived by his mother, Patsy Hart, Shakopee, MN, three sons, Dustin, Mitchell, and Blake Hart of Ft. Yates, ND; three sisters, Diane Hart and Darnell Hart of Shakopee, MN and Donna Kipp of Albuquerque, NM; one brother, Dale Hart of Shakopee, MN; and three grandchildren, Dante, and Micah Hart of Albuquerque, NM and Lucille Hart of Poplar, MT, and special friend Nikki Jessen.

Donald was preceded in death by his father, one son, Derrick; Maternal grandparents, Eddie and Lucille Hunt and paternal grandparents, Chauncey and Josella Hart.
