Funeral Service for Desirae LaVonne "Dez" Ortley , 35 of Browns Valley, MN will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD with Pastor Jerome Renville and Ben Ledoux officiating.   Pallbearers will be Jarrod Mousseau, Jeremy Mousseau, Zachary Ortley, Nicholas Schaller, Bailyn Bursheim, Kyle LaFromboise, Thomas Fayant and Mniyata Hill.  Drum Group will be Buffalo Lake singers. Pianist will be Elena Wilson. & of course our California Family. Interment will be in the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Traditional Burial Grounds, Sisseton, SD.  The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Dez was born to Sylas and Twyla (Mousseau) Ortley in Aberdeen, SD on April 2, 1981. After moving to South Dakota she got her GED. She then attended SWCC, served as Student Body President, and she received her bachelor degree.  That is where she met the love of her life, Mike.  She then began loving the "stay at home mom" job.  She loved her family so much and had such a loving heart.  She would often take in anyone who needed a place to stay.  She loved her nephew and grandkids as if they were her own.  She enjoyed beading, casinos, rummaging, had a green thumb, helping others, and had constant baby fever.

Desirae is survived by her three beautiful daughters, Cali, Elexis (Lexi), Nina (Bean), her father Silas Ortley, her mother, Twyla Mousseau, Jarrod Mousseau, Jeremy Mousseau, Danielle Ortley, Zachary Ortley, Amber Carvel, Jarrod Mouseau, Silas Mousseau, Leeland Kayo, James Warfield, Jeremy James Jr., Lilly Bug and her god children from the Sanchez family.

Desirae was preceded in death by the love of her life Mike, one brother, Jeremy James Ortley, William Peck, Uncle Kenneth (Kenny) Ortley.
