Memorial Service for Dennis Duane Nerison, 77, of Fargo ND formerly of Sisseton, SD will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Lake Traverse District Center, Browns Valley, South Dakota with Fr. Charles Chan officiating. Honorary Urn bearers will be his brothers John Derby, Martin Nerison, John Nerison, Donnie, and Robert. There will be a Wake Service on Monday May 6, 2024, at 7:00 P.M. at the Lake Traverse District Center, Browns Valley, South Dakota. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Dennis was born on April 2, 1947, to Arthur and Virl (Derby) Nerison. He attended school through the 8th grade. He worked as a roofer in Minneapolis, MN and in 2015 to the present he worked with the Burlington Railroad. He was a hard worker. He was a member of St John's Episcopal Church. His hobbies were fishing, camping, watching movies, riding bike and spending time with friends. Dennis passed away on April 25, 2024, at his home in Fargo, North Dakota.

Dennis is survived  by his 5 brothers, John Derby of Sioux Falls, SD, Martin Nerison of Moose Lake, Minnesota, John Nerison of New Effington, SD, Donnie and Robert; four sisters Elaine Anderson of Cincinnati, OH, Peggy Munk of Flandreau, SD, Shari Munk of Omaha, NE and Cheryl Zielieke of Detroit, MI; and many nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Virl Nerison; his brothers Larry, Richard, Patrick, and Frankie; and one sister Shirley Zielieke.
