Funeral Service for Dennis Quincy Brant, 73 of Browns Valley, MN will be held on Wednesday, September 12 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Lake Traverse District Center, with Fr. Charles Chan and Episcopal Lay Readers officiating.  Pallbearers will be Waylon Maestos, Christopher Sherod, Joshua Keoke, Matt Keoke, Larry Keoke Jr., Jordan Kurrasch,  Jacob Kurrasch, and Jared Kurrasch.  Honorary pallbearers will be Curt Red Earth, Edmund Two Stars, David Keeble, Darrell Renville, Ephraim Red Earth, Stanley Lufkins, Richard Lyman, Kent Miller and Sol Little. Interment will be in the St. John Episcopal Cemetery, Browns Valley, MN.  All night wake services will be held at the Lake Traverse District Center on Monday, September 10, 2017 and September 11, 2017 at 7:00 P.M.   The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Dennis Quincy Brant was born on July 14, 1945 in Roberts County, South Dakota to Thomas and Fanchon (Plume) Brant.  He attended the Wahpeton Boarding School in Wahpeton, ND then attended Flandreau Indian School for 3 years.  After his education he worked for local farmers doing farm work.  He also worked at Lancebergers in the fall.  He worked for the Tweap program through the tribe to support his family. He took care of a lot of people. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, whist, and driving around and he loved his grandchildren.

Dennis is survived by his children, Quincy Dennis (Lori) Brant of Watertown, SD, Michelle (Mike) Little of Browns Valley, MN, Dorcy Kurrasch, Justin Cloud of Sisseton, SD, Tracy (Dale) Sherod of Ortonville, MN.; step-children, Conrad Bernard, Phyllis, Larry, Marvin, Bobby , Arlis, and Willis Keoke; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren;  brothers, Earl DeMarrias of Peever, S D, Theodore King of Sisseton, SD, Cedric King of R Rosholt, SD; sisters, Shirley DeMarrias of Peever, SD, Faith E. Owen of Watertown, SD, Peggy King of Rosholt, SD, Wilma King of Sisseton, SD and Brenda King of Rosholt, SD;.

Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Keoke; his parents, Fanchon Plume and Thomas Brant; brothers, Darrell DeMarrias and Sampson DeMarrias.
