Funeral Service for DeeAnn Mabel Jensen, 70, of Vermillion, SD will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Peever Lutheran Church, Peever, SD with the Rev. Tryphine Schruba officiating. Organist will be Estelle Pearson. Pallbearers will be Eric Snaza, Jeff Snaza, Rudy Skoglund, Randolph Skoglund, Tim German and Dennis German. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of DeeAnn's nieces, nephews, nurses and staff of SDHSC, Debbie Cotton and Peggy Dell. Interment will be in the Peever Cemetery, Peever, SD. There will be visitation on Monday, September 12, 2011 from 2:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD and visitation will continue on Tuesday one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the Church.
DeeAnn was born on July 1, 1941 at Sisseton, SD to Bert and Dorothy (Law) German. She attended grade school at Agency #3. DeeAnn was united in marriage to Melvin Jensen on October 13, l962 at Sisseton, SD. To this union three children were born. She enjoyed embroidering, TV, flowers, her cat Blackie, and talking about her children, especially showing pictures of her grandchildren. DeeAnn died on September 8, 2011 at Yankton, SD.
DeeAnn is survived by her three children, Janice Jensen of Sioux Falls, SD; Theresa (Mike) Burietta of Del Rio, Texas; and Davey Jensen and friend Jessica of Sisseton, SD; Grandchildren Michael Jr. and Michelle Burrietta of Del Rio, Texas; Sisters Bernice Marquette of Cokato, MN, Yvonne Skoglund of Sisseton, SD, Jeannette Snaza and Virgil of Grenville, SD and Charlotte Fryer and Keith of Milbank, SD, and several nieces and nephews.
DeeAnn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 brothers Herb, Gene and Allan and one grandson Christopher.
