Funeral Service for David Kenneth Parker, 50 of Sisseton, SD will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD with the Pastor Philmore Simon officiating. Organist will be Kay Bursheim. Pallbearers will be Ronald Hill, Joel Max, Tony Barker, Brian Barker, and Eric Milton. Interment will be in the Goodwill Presbyterian Cemetery, Agency Village, SD. There will be visitation at Cahill Funeral Chapel on Thursday, one hour prior to the funeral. The Cahill Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
David Kenneth Parker was born on September 4, 1964 at San Luis Obispo, CA to Bernard and Naomi (Barker) Parker. He graduated from North Kitsap High School in Poulsbo, WA where he played football. He attended Central Washington University, Lutheran Bible Institute for two years. David was involved in Luther League and also held offices in the Church. While living in Washington he worked for several large chain restaurants as a cook. In June 2001 he moved to Agency Village. He attended Sisseton Wahpeton Community College for communications. Following he worked at the Rehab Center until he became disabled. He enjoyed reading, computers, cooking for family, and watching game shows. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and great nieces, and taking them and his mother, Naomi and his brother, Dan for rides and ice cream. David passed away on May 5, 2015 at the Tekakwitha Living Center, Sisseton, SD.
David is survived by his mother, Naomi Parker of Sisseton, SD; one brother, Tim Parker of
Sisseton, SD; nieces, Megan, Anna, Shannon, multitude of great nieces and one great nephew.
David was preceded in death by his father, Bernard, one brother, Daniel Parker and one sister, Winona Parker.
