David Cornelius Gill, age 63 passed away on September 28 ^th , 2018 in Fargo, North Dakota.

David was born on August 24 ^th , 1955 in Sisseton, South Dakota to Moses and Dorothy Gill.  He grew up at Toka Bay attending and graduating from Waubay Public School.  He then went on to attend Lake Area Technical institute receiving a degree in Building Trades.

David spent his life working in the Construction field. He also spent his life working for the betterment of the Enemy Swim District and its members. He served as Enemy Swim Councilman and served over 15 years as Enemy Swim District Chairman. Enemy Swim District and its members were his heart.

David had ten children and enjoyed spending time with them all. He loved teaching them along with his grandchildren all his life learned skills from medicine gathering to chess. He was blessed with a large family and always said, "I may not be a rich man but I am rich in my heart" as he was proud of all the grandchildren he was blessed with.

David is survived by his children, Shannon Keeble (Sioux Falls), Charla Rencountre (Sioux Falls), Laura (Dave) Williams (Enemy Swim), Renee (Dave) Hedman (Watertown), Nicole Eastman (Fargo), Matthew Gill, (Enemy Swim), Jerred Gill (Enemy Swim), Cody (Dakota) Gill (Enemy Swim), Jordin (Nate) Gill (Enemy Swim), and Marcus Gill (Enemy Swim), along with 27 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Dorothy Seaboy-Gill, Moses Gill, one brother Gerald Gill, and his daughter Miranda Gill.

A private family service was held at his home in Enemy Swim and burial at Toka Bay on September 29 ^th , 2018.

David's family will miss him enormously.
