Funeral Service for Darrell L. Quinn Sr., 53, of Sisseton, SD will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Grace Lutheran Church, Sisseton, SD with Pastor Vern Donnell and Dwight Fearing officiating. Organist will be Billy Kohl. Pallbears will be Gerald German Jr., Weston Quinn, Darrell Quinn Jr, Verlyn Beaudreau, Patrick Deutsch Jr., Michael Quinn, SpiritWind One Road and Chance Lohre. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Darrell's nieces, nephews, grandchildren, the girls from the credit union, SWFCU Board Members, Jeff Block, Lois Kohl, the Quinn-Kohl Families, ane the Price Families. Wake Services will be held at the SWO Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD on Saturday, January 23, 2016 starting at 7:00 P.M. and Sunday, January 24, 2016 all night wake starting at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be in Sisseton City Cemetery, Sisseton, SD with Military Rites by the United Veterans Association. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.
Darrell Lee Quinn Sr. 53, of Sisseton, SD, passed away in Fargo, ND on January 20, 2016 surrounded by his wife and children.
Darrell was born on December 10, 1962 to LeRoy and Louella (Wanna) Quinn Sr. in Sisseton, SD. Darrell attended school and graduated from Sisseton High School. He also received an Associates Degree in Banking and Finance from Vo-tech in Watertown, SD. Darrell entered the Army/National Guard and was honorable discharged on April 10, 1987. On October 3, 1986 he married his soul mate Robin (Price) Quinn. They had 4 children who were the light of his life.
Darrell worked at many jobs which included: JOM, Dakota Magic Casino, Tiospa Zina, Turkey Plant in Watertown, SWO Finance Dept., he was the SWO Tribal Secretary, Gaming Commission and was currently the President of the SWFCU.
Darrell is survived by his wife Robin Quinn; children Amanda Quinn, Darrell Quinn Jr., Ashley (SpiritWind) One Road, Justin Quinn; his 7 grandchildren Dante Hagenson, Makhia Quinn, Steven Hagenson, Shaylynn Quinn, Loyal Rondell, Scott Rondell and Kyrie Bursheim Quinn all of Sisseton, SD; his brother LeRoy Quinn Jr.; sisters Marlys Beaudreau, Pam Quinn, Fran Quinn, Tami (Johnny) Seiber all of Sisseton, SD and Carol (Melvin) Clifford of N. Sioux City, SD.
Darrell was an amazing man who so many loved and looked up to. He was generous and kind. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle alongside his nephew Weston. His favorite thing was spending time with his family. His love for his wife, children, grandchildren and the rest of his family will never be forgotten.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents LeRoy Sr. and Louella Quinn; his brother Verlyn Quinn and sisters Mavis Quinn and Marilyn Quinn.
