Funeral Service for Darrell Vine DeMarrias, 67, of Sisseton, SD will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Lake Traverse District Center, Browns Valley, SD at 12:00 P.M. with John Cloud III officiating. Pallbearers will be Corey DeMarrias, Quincy Keoke, Curt Desjarlait, Winston Eastman, Caleb Eastman, Dylan DeMarrias, Gerald W. King and Sampson White. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alex Heminger, Orville White, Stacey Brant, Russell Hawkins, Stanley Lufkins, Butch Williams, Cary Eastman and Darrell Renville. Interment will be in the St. John's Episcopal Cemetery, Browns Valley, SD. Wake Services will be at the Lake Traverse District Center on Saturday, December 19, 2015 starting at 7:00 P.M. and Sunday, December 20, 2015 all night starting at 7:00 P.M. Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.
Darrell V. DeMarrias was born on April 4, 1948 in Sisseton, SD to Sampson G. DeMarrias Sr. and Fanchon Plume King. Darrell went to school in Wahpeton, ND. He did odd jobs thru out his life. He met Janice Gill and they had three children. Derek DeMarrias, Andrea Gill and Galen DeMarrias.
Darrell liked to do seek a word puzzles, play solitaire, whist and read western books. Darrell lived with his daughter Andrea Gill in Sisseton until his passing on December 17, 2015 at his home.
Darrell is survived by his children Derek DeMarrias of Sisseton, SD, Andrea Gill of Sisseton, SD and Galen DeMarrias of Sisseton, SD; brothers Dennis Brant of Sisseton, SD, Sampson DeMarrias of Sisseton, SD Earl DeMarrias of Peever, SD, Cedric King of Rosholt, SD, Theodore King of Rosholt, SD and Gerald King of Blain, MN; sisters Sharon Ellingson, Wadena, MN, Peggy King of Rosholt, SD, Faith Elizabeth DeMarrias of Watertown, SD, Brenda King of Rosholt, SD and Wilma King of Sisseton, SD; ten grand children and twenty great grand children.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Martha King and Earnistine Huff and brother Willard King and grandson Quentin Desjarlait.
