Memorial Service for Daniel Patrick Parker, 51 of Sisseton, SD will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD with the Filmore Simon officiating. Urn Bearer will be Timothy Parker. Scattering of the ash will be done at a later date in the State of Washington. There will be visitation one hour prior to the funeral at the Cahill Funeral Chapel on Tuesday.
Daniel Patrick Parker was born on April 26, 1962 in Sisseton, SD to Bernard Orrin and Naomi H. (Barker) Parker. Dan attended grade school at Quincy Grade School and graduated from Poulsbo, WA high school in 1980. Dan came from a Military family, his father was a twenty year veteran, his mother a five year veteran, his brother and his sister also served in the Military. Following his education he worked as a mechanic in the Seattle area. Dan was united in marriage to Tamara in 2001. Dan moved to Agency Village, SD in 2002. He worked at Dakota Trikes, Inc and later at Dakota Connection as a slot technician. Dan was an avid Seattle sports activist. Dan passed away on August 10, 2013 at the Coteau Des Prairies Hospital, Sisseton, SD from a heart attack.
Dan is survived by his mother, Naomi Parker of Agency Village, SD; two brothers, David Parker of Sisseton, SD and Timothy Parker of Sisseton, SD; three nieces and a multiple of great nieces and one nephew.
Dan was preceded in death by his father, his wife, and one sister Winona Parker.
