Funeral Service for Dana Jason Crawford, 49 of Minneapolis, MN will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at the SWO Community Center, Agency Village, SD with JC Crawford CRE, and Rev. Danelle McKenney officiating. Pianist will be Billy Kohl.  Pallbearers will be Anthony Johnson, Brett Price, Sam Crawford Jr., Samuel Farmer, Sr., James Crawford III, Kevin Jones, Earlwin Greybull and Draven Crawford. Honorary Pallbearers will be  Robert Johnson, Todd Kitto, and all of Dana's Family, Friends, and Co-workers at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.   Wake services will be held on January 15 ^th at 7:00 P.M. and January 16 ^th an all night wake at the SWO Community Center. Interment will be at Goodwill Indian Presbyterian Cemetery. Agency Village, SD. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Dana was born on February 4, 1970 in Sisseton, SD to Lyle Crawford and Josephine Goodbird. He was raised by Edwane, Abby and adopted mother, Iva Crawford. He grew up and attended Kenwood Elementary School, Anwain Middle School and Southwest High School. Following his education he worked in the medical field as a caregiver. He was also a CNA and an EMT for Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis, MN. He was baptized at Mayasan Presbyterian Church. He was a lifetime member of Goodwill Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Guardian Angels and AIM patrol in Minneapolis, MN, and he was recognized for his service to the community. He was a member of the Minneapolis Youth and was active in community youth football and baseball. Dana passed away on January 10, 2020 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis, MN.

Dana is survived by his mother Josephine Goodbird Doxtator of Onida, WI; adopted mother Iva Crawford of Minneapolis, MN; special aunt Elizabeth Crawford of Minneapolis, MN; four children, Dancina, James, Katherine (Kat), and Brianna; four sisters, Tammy, Joy, Winona, and Robinette; one brother, Freddie; two step brothers, Damian and Daniel; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Dana was preceded in death by his father, Lyle; one daughter, Angelea; adopted parents, Edwane, Terry and Abby; two sisters Cindy and LaFawn; paternal grandparents Edward and Jeanette (Kitto) Crawford; maternal grandparents, Eli Goodbird and Julia (Frenier) Goodbird.
