Funeral Service for Dale David Doud 67, of Sisseton, South Dakota will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 11:30 A.M. at the Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, South Dakota with Rev. Fr. Jerome Ranek officiating. Organist will be Colette Hull . Pallbearers will be Tony Wolfe, Jacob Wolfe, Dale Howell, Skylare Howell, Troy Savageau, David Doud and Chris Doud. Honorary Pallbearers will be "All of Dale's family and friends". There will be a visitation Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. prayer service at the Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD there will also be visitation one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in the Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. The Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.
Dale David Doud was born on August 6, 1947 in Sisseton, SD to Jim and Alice (Brown) Doud. He was an over the road truck driver most of his life and worked for Quasar Trucking, Sioux Line Trucking, Rapid City Packing and Magnum Trucking in Fargo. Dale married Myrna Wounded Head on March 7, 1977. They lived in various places in SD: Box Elder, Black Hawk, and Rapid City and in Washington. They moved back to Sisseton, SD in 1984.
Dale enjoyed the Vikings, reading and watching westerns, playing cards, traveling to visit his family and visiting with people.
Dale is survived by his children Myron (Stephanie) Jasmine and Briana Doud of Sisseton, SD, Audrey (Troy) Savageau of Minneapolis, MN, Victoria (Tony) Howell of Sisseton, SD, and Adrienne Howell of Watertown, SD; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; his siblings Myron (Connie) Doud of Box Elder, SD, Tom (Peggy) Doud of Box Elder, SD, Jonelle Wickenhagen of Spearfish, SD, Desmond Doud of Washington, Patty (Donny) of Colorado, Jon Doud of Lead, SD, Kerry (Cindy) Doud of Lead, SD and Sally (Brian) Herran of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Alice Doud, wife Myrna and his siblings Mary Doud, Joseph Doud, and Pat Doud.
