Funeral Mass for Dale Henry Adams, 80, of Sisseton, SD will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Fr. Jerry Ranek celebrant. Pianist will be Billy Kohl. Pallbearers will be Mark Adams, Patrick Adams Jr., Slayton Crandall, Jamison Weidenbach, Jon Adams Jr., and Jason J. Adams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Madonna Adams, Detrea Adams, Jarrell Adams, Chadwick Adams, Loren White, Amber Adams, Crystal White, Maryann Wanna, Orville White, Becky Adams, Travis St. John, Gary Martenson, Barbara Heminger, and all of Dale's friends and family. Interment will be at St. Matthews Catholic Cemetery, Veblen, SD with Military Rites by the American Legion Post #314. All Night Wake Services will be held at the St. Kateri's Hall, Sisseton, SD at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 22, 2019. Dale passed away at the Browns Valley Health Center, Browns Valley, MN on September 15, 2019. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Dale Henry Adams was born on October 14, 1938 to Lazarus and Virginia (DeMarrias) Adams in Veblen, SD. He attended and graduated from high school, then enlisted into the United States Army on January 10, 1956 and served as a Medic. Dale was honorable discharged on May 15, 1962. While in the service he was awarded the Sharpshooter for the Rifle and Carbine and was also awarded the Good Conduct Medal. After the service, Dale moved to Chicago and that's where he learned his mechanic skills. He lived in Seattle, WA and then St. Paul, MN for a short time before moving back to Sisseton to start a family. He attended the local college and that's where he learned his carpentry skills. Dale enjoyed times with his grandchildren, hunting, and cooking. He was known as "Papa Dale" and was also a descendent to Chief Sleepy Eye.

Dale is survived by his children Jonathan Adams Sr., Samuel Adams, Della Adams and Jason Adams; brothers Kenneth Adams, Russell Adams, Richard Adams, Clayton Adams, Patrick Adams Sr., and Delwin John Adams; sister Sandra (Adams) Owen; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; soon to be 1 great-great-grandson.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Elmer Adams, Francis Adams, and Laverne DeMarrias; sisters Lillian Douglas; V. June Renville, and Ernestine Adams.
