Cynthia Dawn (Getty) Hopkins was born on March 6, 1959 to Karen and Clarence Getty in Sioux Falls, SD. She attended multiple schools in Sioux Falls growing up. She lived in Sioux Falls, Waubay, and other towns within South Dakota her entire life. She was a stay-at-home mom, grandma, and great grandma. Her immediate family were not her only family, she also welcomed many other kids, grandkids and great grandkids into her life and heart. She lived for her family and those close to her heart. If someone was in need of a family she took them in no matter if she had the space or not.  She helped raise her grandkids, great grandkids, and many other kids throughout her life. She kept her strength so she could continue to care for everyone around her. She enjoyed teaching her kids, grandkids and family her hobby of beading.  She gave many of her beadwork as gifts to her family. She also shared her hobby with others by selling them to increase her beading, so she could continue sharing her hobby. She had a huge heart for everyone. Even on her last days she was more worried about her family than herself.

She is survived by her family, husband Wayne Hopkins and kids, Craig, Mike, Fletcher, Kendrid, Jerred, Chance, Scott, Wayne Jr., Twyla (Wilson), Dreamer and Mindy (Curtis), step daughters Jenny and Alicia, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister Lori and brother in law Kerry Christensen, nephew Travis Christensen and niece Tanya Kennedy and their families, caregiver Michelle and many other caregivers, family and friends.

Cindy is proceeded in death by her parents, Karen and Clarence Getty, stepdad Ambrose Westendor, son Larry and many family and friends.

She will always be that bright star when you look up at the sky, look.

She will always be thought of in the back of your head that you just want to ignore, listen.

She will always be the prettiest girl you've met, smile.

Stand tall, walk on because there will always be a big part of her in you. She will always live on!
