Funeral Service for Crystal Gay Walker, 65, of Sisseton, SD will be held at Family Life Assembly of God Church, Sisseton, SD on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Vern Donnell officiating. Organist Sarah Aadand and soloist June Evenson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Danielle and John Two Stars, Denise and Ben Red Horse, Delia and Andy Romero, Debbie LaCroix, Rita Arnold, Glenn LaCroix, Butch LaCroix, Teresa and Kenny McConnell, Terrilynn and Robert Charging, Collette St John, John Garrity, Toni St John, Bengi Thompson, Chelain Tiger, Luanna LaCroix, Yvette LaCroix, Austin Ducheneau, & Sonny Boy Janise. There will be visitation on Friday, March 26, 2021 starting at 6:00 P.M. followed by a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. and visitation one hour prior to the service on Saturday. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.

Crystal was born in Pierre, SD on July 23, 1955 to Clarence Walker and Delia (LaCroix) Welch. She finished grade school in Denver Co. She quit school after her junior year. She always said she was going back to school someday. When she was 19 years old, she went back to school and graduated from Thornton High School in Thornton, CO. She graduated from Sisseton Wahpeton Community College with an Associate Degree in business. She loved working and using her college education. But ill health always caused her to resign from her jobs. In 1978 she met and married Daniel Gomez, the father of her two oldest children Eric and Alisa. She later met her long time companion and together they had Sierra. Gilbert passed away in August 2008. She enjoyed going to Casinos and driving her truck looking at nature. She liked to cook and bake. She made the best chocolate chip cookies and everybody loved them. She was a good cook for her family and she always cooked well balanced meals. She loved animals big or small wild or tame. She always felt sad if she knew an animal was abandoned or mistreated. She had one constant companion, her tiny Chihuahua "Pita", whom she inherited from her son, Eric. She was an avid Bronco fan. She watched all their games. Crystal and Pita always wore Bronco jerseys on game day. Crystal, a devoted mother to Sierra and highly protective of her. She was a very caring daughter to her mother and step dad. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be sadly missed by everyone. Crystal passed away at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND on Saturday, March 13, 2021 after a short illness.

Crystal is survived by her precious daughter Sierra Gomez of Sisseton, SD; daughter Alisa Hartman of Guide Rock NE; her precious adopted granddaughters Brooklyn and Brielle Weinkauf of Breckenridge, MN; her mother and step-father Delia (LaCroix) and Frank Welch of Sisseton, SD, her step-sisters Danielle (John) Two Stars and Denise (Ben) Red Horse all of Sisseton, SD, her only niece Cora Hamilton and Cora's son Calvin,   and very special aunt Rita Arnold of Westminster, Co.

Crystal was preceded in death by her father Clarence Walker; son Eric; brothers Baron Walker and Kenneth Walker; and grandmothers Cora LaCroix and Winnie Mireau .
