Obituary

Celebrating the Life of Craig James Bull Bear will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the Cahill Funeral Chapel, ,Sisseton, Suth Dakota with Pastor Vern Donnell officiating. The Pallbearers will be Arlen Renville Jr., Alex Renville, Duran Renville, Chance Renville, Jared Barse, and Gabriel Barse. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Craig's family and friends. Interment  will be in the St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Sisseton, South Dakota. There will be visitation at the Cahill Funeral Chapel from 12:00 P.M. to service time. The Cahill Funeral Chapel is in charge of funeral  arrangements.

Craig James Bull Bear age 37 of Peever, South Dakota journeyed to the spirit world on March 25, 2025 at Coteau Des Prairies Hospital in Sisseton, South Dakota. Craig was born on January 7th, 1988, in Fort Yates, North Dakota to Mary Lou Bull Bear. Craig attended high school at Riverside Indian School in Anadarko, Oklahoma where he was an outstanding football player. Craig spent his senior year with family in the Sisseton area and graduated from Tiospa Zina Tribal School. Craig was raised in the Bismarck-Mandan area and moved back to the Sisseton Area after graduation. He lived in Watertown South Dakota for a time and eventually moved to the Peever area where he met his significant other, Roxanne Renville. He worked various jobs at the DNGE Tribal casinos as well as SWO Headstart and Woodland Cabinetry until the birth of his beloved daughter Tahlia. Craig devoted his life to raising Tahlia and found tremendous joy in spending time with her doing all the things Tahlia loved to do. Craig enjoyed spending time with his family watching movies, listening to music, and taking Tahlia on all her adventures. He was often found in gamer mode playing his favorite videos games on the Xbox as well as different apps on his phone. Craig loved to cheer on the Baltimore Ravens football team every season and was often wearing his Ravens sweater wherever he went. Craig will be remembered for the profound compassion and love he had for all his friends he made over the years as well as his family. Craig is reunited in the spirit world with his mother Mary Lou, brothers Victor, Marcus, Darius, and Mitchell Bull Bear, sisters Nicole and Angel Bull Bear and his best friend Jerry Bohay. He is survived earth side by his other half Roxanne Renville, daughter Tahlia, adopted mom Ruth Iyarpeya, adopted parents Jenny Amos and Arlen Renville Sr, adopted brothers Arlen Jr, Alex, Duran, Isaiah, and Chance Renville as well as adopted brothers Jared and Gabriel Barse.
