Corrine Owen, 83, of St. Cloud, MN, passed away on February 6, 2017, after a 2 year struggle with IPF (idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis).
The Funeral service will be held at 11:00am at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Community Center in Agency Village, SD. Pastor Milton Owen of First Baptist Church will be officiating assisted by Pastor Darin Seaman of First Presbyterian Church of St. Cloud, MN and Jr. Heminger, CLP, of Ascension Presbyterian Church of Big Coulee, SD. Wake service will be at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 8th, 2017 at Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Community Center in Agency Village, SD. Pianist will be Billy Kohl and special music by Lori Sampson. Pallbearers will be Colin Owen, Robert Owen, Ricky Owen, Rodney Owen, Steve Owen, Billy Owen, Dennis Owen Jr., Joe Owen, Gary Owen Jr., Marshal DuMarce. Honorary Pallbearers will be "All of Corrine's Friends & Family". Burial will follow the funeral at Ascension Presbyterian Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton, SD.
Corrine was born in Elbow Woods, ND on April 3, 1933 to Sarah (Hopkins) and William Upshaw. Corrine was married to Verlyn (Pete) Owen on October 21, 1966; they were married 50 years. Corrine was a member at First Presbyterian Church in St. Cloud, MN. Corrine worked as a Nursing Assistant for Carefree Living. Corrine retired in 1996. Corrine enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Other hobbies included sewing, quilting, knitting, bingo, going to Pow-Wows.
Corrine is survived by husband Verlyn Owen, children, Daniel (Julia) Owen, grandchildren, Kayla (Cass) Vigen, Jordan Owen, Courtney Henkel, Jesse (Matt) Sucku, Zach Hovey Cook, Preston Owen, Gavin Owen, great grandchildren Charlie Vigen and Harper Owen, and many other family and friends.
Corrine is preceded in death by mother, Sarah Hopkins, father, William Upshaw, son Brian Owen.
