Funeral Service for Connie Marie Brennan, (Mary Kay), 71 of Sisseton, SD will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Community Center, Agency Village, SD with Pastor Jerome Renville and Episcopal Lay Readers officiating. Pianist will be Billy Kohl and Kay Crawford. Pallbearers will be Wayne German Jr., Terry Friemel, Floyd Kirk Jr., Dave Running Hawk, Mike Wakeman and Mark Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carolette Gray, Joan Feather, Alvira Enoch, Carlotta Wanna Strom, Connie Brown, Lori Nieland, Sharon Jones, Mike Friemel and Francine Hayes. Drum Group will be Iyakapta.  Interment will be in St. Mary's Episcopal CemeFtery, Agency Village, SD. All Night Wake Service will be held at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Community Center, Agency Village, SD at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 28, 2017. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Connie Marie was born on July 27, 1946 to Percy and Marcellaine (Renville) Kirk Sr. in Sisseton, SD. She grew up at the Tekawitha Orphanage and later went to a Foster Family in Yankton, SD. She graduated from Yankton High School in 1964. She then moved to the East Coast. She was a free spirit which gave her many opportunities to travel the country and experience many adventures and enjoy her life. She lived for years in Virginia, North Carolina and along the East Coast. She always had the gift to visit with people and make friends no matter where she was. She even got to work as a waitress during Mardi Gras for a couple of years and later moved back home to Sisseton due to illness. She worked at Dakota Magic Casino. She was a beautiful person inside and out and was full of life and always had a smile on her face. She was a fun and witty person to be around and always make you laugh. She also enjoyed being stylish with her clothes. She loved to read books, sing karaoke even at the Brown County Fair one year, play Bingo, go to casinos and gambling, to dance, play pool and play games like whist and cribbage. Connie passed away on December 20, 2017 at the Tekawitha Nursing Center in Sisseton, SD she will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Connie is survived by a daughter Tammy Rose of North Carolina; two sons; sisters Betty Jo Kirk, Frances Huff, Margaret Bourelle, Eleanor Kirk, Barbara Kirk Renville and Sandra K. Redday; uncles, Charlie Renville and Harvey Renville all of Sisseton, SD; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
