Funeral Service for Cody Lee Campbell, 18 of Waubay, SD will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. James' Episcopal Church, Enemy Swim, SD with the Rev. Les Campbell and Rev. Charles Chan officiating. Pallbearers will be Austin Iron Star, Erik Rockwood, Ambrose Locke, Blue Grant, Brady Roberts, Daniel Campbell III, Ethan Seaboy and Vincent Campbell. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Cody's Friends & Family. Interment will be in St. James Episcopal Cemetery, Enemy Swim, SD. There will be a Wake Service on Monday August 3, 2009 at 7:00 PM and an all night wake on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Enemy Swim Community Center, Enemy Swim, SD. Cody was born on July 3, 1991 in Sisseton, SD to Roger D. and Cheryl (Fayant) Campbell II. Cody was baptized and confirmed at St. James' Episcopal Church. Cody grew up and attended school in Waubay, SD where he would have been a senior this fall. He loved to play basketball, liked to swim and watch movies. He was a traditional grass dancer. Cody passed away on August 1, 2009 at Sanford Hospital, Webster, SD.
Cody is survived by his father, Roger D. Campbell II of Louisville, KY; six brothers, Roger Campbell Jr. and Nicholas Campbell of Kyle, SD; Vincent Campbell of Rapid City, SD, Cameron Fayant of Enemy Swim, SD, Dayton Fayant of Waubay, SD, and Shunka Campbell of Louisville, KY; six sisters, Winona Campbell of Enemy Swim, SD, Charlie Rose Campbell of Louisville, KY, Misty Fayant of Ortley, SD, Joy Iyarpeya of Waubay, SD, Autumn Sky Campbell and Morning Star Campbell of Louisville, KY; paternal grandmother, Marlene Campbell of Sisseton, SD, and maternal grandmother, Roberta Fayant of Waubay, SD; Cody's guardian Kenny Fayant of Waubay, SD; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cody was preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl Fayant, paternal grandfather, Rev. Ronald Campbell and maternal grandfather, Willford Fayant Sr.
