Funeral Service for Clifford Edison Harris, 91 of Sisseton, SD will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD. with Filmore Simon CLP and Morgan Redday officiating. The organist will be Kay Bursheim. Pallbearers will be Jerome Renville Jr., Jerome Renville Sr., Ray Wilson, Louis "Pete" Musil, Terry Wilson, Cedric Wilson, and Mickey Renville. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Staff of Tekakwitha Living Center. Interment will be in the Goodwill Presbyterian Cemetery, Agency Village, SD. There will be Wake Service on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Tribal Community Center. Clifford was born on February 3, 1921 in Sisseton, SD to Andrew and Elizabeth (Goodboy) Harris. He grew up and attended country school. Following his education Clifford worked for local farmers doing farm work. He later worked for Sisseton Wahpeton Sioux Oyate doing maintenance. Clifford loved to care for lawns and loved gardening. Clifford lived at the Tekakwitha Living Center from 1995 until the time of his death on October 19, 2012.
Clifford is survived by two sisters, Joanne Wilson of Browns Valley, MN and Nancy Wilson of Watertown, SD.
Clifford was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Phillip Wilson and one infant brother; five sisters, Germaine, Josephine, Lydia, Esther, and Phyllis.
