Claudia Ann Boelman 76 (Sept. 19, 1938 – Sept. 6, 2015
of Johnstown, Colorado passed away September 6, 2015. She lost her battle with cancer. She was born in North Platte Nebraska on Sept. 19, 1938. She spent most of her life in South Dakota. She attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion and received an associates in human behavior. She was a sexual and domestic abuse advocate for children. She also was an advocate for the women's prison in Pierre, South Dakota. She loved traveling to Colorado to see family and to see the Rocky Mountains. She moved to Colorado in January 2015. Claudia was a huge Minnesota Vikings fan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rube and Fern Brewer. Her sister, Vicki. Her son, Dave Patenode and her puppy, Sarge. She is survived by 2 sons, Patrick Patenode of South Dakota. Larry (Cheryl) Patenode of Colorado. 1 daughter, Shawna (Mike) Johnson of Minnesota. 1 sister, Virginia O'Hare of Colorado. 2 brothers Richard and Charles Brewer. Many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She also leaves behind a mountain of friends in Sisseton and Pierre South Dakota.
