A Celebration of Life Service for Claude Vern Brown Jr., 78 of Sisseton, SD will be held at the Sisseton Wahpeton Community Center, Agency Village, SD on Wednesday March 16th at 10:00 A.M. Viewing will start at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday March 15th at the Tribal Community Center with a Wake Service at 7:00 P.M. Pastor Vern Donnell with be officiating. Pianist will be Kay Bursheim. Pallbearers will be Justin Brown, Shane Brown, Travis Brown, Kello Brown, Justin Brown, Trevor Brown Jr. and Trevontae Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be Caitlyn Tohm, Harold Johnson, Harley Christopherson, Keith Kelly, Mike Kohl Sr., Twyla Mousseau and all of Claude's Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.
Claude Vern Brown Jr. was born on April 4, 1937 in Sisseton, SD. to Claude V. And Dora (Gronau) Brown Sr. He graduated from Sisseton High School. He spent many years as a machinist, long time owner of Brown's Tavern, and worked several years with Shultz Food Inc. He was an avid sportsman. He loved fishing, hunting, and boating. He enjoyed bowling, cards, cooking, gardening, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Claude passed away in his sleep at his home in Agency Village on Friday March 11, 2016.
Claude is survived by 13 children, 2 step children, 43 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren and one on the way.
