Chrissy was born on December 21, 1976, to Virgil and Vickie (Waletich) George. She was welcomed home by her brother, Scott. Chrissy went to school in Sisseton and graduated in 1995. After high school, Chrissy worked for a few years at Roberts County National Bank before moving to Fargo. Chrissy enjoyed living in Fargo with two of her best friends, Jackie and Pam. While living in Fargo she worked for EW Wiley. In 2000, Chrissy moved to Minneapolis and worked for K2 Logistics. Chrissy was blessed with the birth of her beautiful daughter, Samantha Grace, in 2009. Sam was the light of her
life, she enjoyed spending all her free time with her. She loved watching Sam grow and become a "mini" version of herself. Sam inherited many of Chrissy's amazing qualities such as her loving carefree personality, kindness towards others, creativity, sense of humor, love for animals and beauty both inside and out. After the birth of her daughter, she moved back home and pursued her degree in nursing. She attended Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown and graduated from the University of South Dakota with her nursing degree. She loved caring for her patients and working with
her co-workers, who became some of her closest friends. Chrissy loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed making beautiful crafts, shopping, watching "her shows" and pampering herself. To reward herself after chemo treatments she would go with her nieces to get manicures. Chrissy was overwhelmed with all the kindness and generosity of others. She enjoyed visiting with everyone who stopped by to say hello. She felt blessed to have the most amazing family and friends. Chrissy brought joy in so many ways to the people who loved her. It's hard to forget someone; who gave us all so much to remember. Our memories become a treasure, you are loved beyond words.
Grateful to have shared in her life is her daughter Sammie; her parents Virgil and Vickie of Sisseton; her brother Scott and nieces Karlee and Kamryn of Watertown; Grandmother Lucille George of Sisseton; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also had many special friends, too numerous to mention.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Francis George and maternal grandparents Joe and Lorraine Waletich; Aunts Linda Quinn, Carolyn Brown and Uncle Ronnie George.
In lieu of flowers, an educational account for Samantha George has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank.
